“阳明心学”源自明代著名思想家王阳明,是中华文化的璀璨瑰宝,其核心思想如“心即理、知行合一、致良知、生态智慧”等,不仅深刻影响了中国乃至世界的文化格局,也为艺术和设计创作提供了丰富的灵感与启发。本次赛事依托第十届米兰设计周-中国高校设计学科师生优秀作品展,旨在通过文化传承与科技创新相结合,探索阳明心学在人工智能时代下的新形态、新语义、新媒介,发掘其在全球语境中的当代价值,推动“阳明心学”的国际化传播,让世界看到中国优秀传统文化的深度与创新。

Originating from the great Ming Dynasty philosopher Wang Yangming, Yangming Philosophy is a shining gem of Chinese culture. Its core ideas of “the mind is principle,” “unity of knowledge and action,” “innate moral sense,” and “ecological wisdom” have profoundly influenced both Chinese and global intellectual traditions. These concepts continue to inspire art and design with their humanistic depth and creative vitality. Building on the platform of the 10th Milan Design Week China Collegiate Design Competition&Exhibition, this competition seeks to integrate cultural heritage with technological innovation. Participants are encouraged to explore new forms, meanings, and media of Yangming Philosophy in the age of artificial intelligence, revealing its contemporary relevance and global significance. The event aims to promote the international visibility of Yangming Philosophy and demonstrate the depth and creativity of Chinese cultural innovation to the world.

04主题释义/Interpretation

“阳明心学”与人工智能的结合不仅是文化与技术的碰撞,更是对人机协同、心智共生的哲学探索。人工智能的价值不仅在于加速图形化创意的生成效率,而在于它能通过跨域联想与动态优化,帮助设计师更全面地获取灵感洞察,从而为“心学”的理念赋予新形态、新语义、新媒介。参赛者可以结合“阳明心学”的核心思想,设计载体和呈现形式不限,从以下四个方向展开创作:

“心即理”:让AI 成为心灵的镜像,拓展人机共创的空间。参赛者可以探索如何通过AI工具映射“心”的意图,展现符合当代生活方式的中国设计语言。

“知行合一”:借AI之道衔接理念与实践,推动设计高效迭代。参赛者可以利用AI工具快速迭代概念设计,展示设计“过程”中的反思与洞察。

“致良知”:用AI助力设计价值表达,承载人文关怀之温度。参赛者可以借助AI辅助设计的途径,连接人文之美与技术之善,通过作品传达自己内心的良知。

“生态智慧”:AI优化资源与系统,探索人与自然、社会的和谐共生的未来方案。参赛者可以尝试借助AI在材料、能源、制造与使用场景上的智能化分析,寻求特定场景下更加环保、智能的绿色可持续解决方案。

The fusion of Yangming Philosophy and artificial intelligence represents more than a meeting between culture and technology; it is a philosophical inquiry into human-AI collaboration and the co-evolution of mind and machine. The true value of AI lies not only in accelerating visual creativity but also in its capacity for cross-domain association and adaptive optimization, empowering designers to gain deeper insights and inspiration. Through this lens, AI offers new forms, meanings, and mediums for expressing the wisdom of the Yangming Philosophy.

Participants are encouraged to interpret the essence of Yangming Philosophy freely through any design medium or format, drawing inspiration from the following four dimensions:

“The Mind is Principle”: Let AI serve as a mirror of the human mind, expanding the possibilities of human-machine co-creation. Participants may explore how AI tools can reflect inner intentions and express a distinctly Chinese design language for contemporary life.

“Unity of Knowledge and Action”: Use AI as a bridge between concept and practice, facilitating efficient design iteration. Participants can demonstrate reflective and insightful thinking through AI-assisted concept development and process exploration.

“Innate Moral Sense”: Employ AI to express humanistic values and emotional depth in design. Through AI-augmented creation, participants are invited to connect beauty with empathy, and technology with moral consciousness.

“Ecological Wisdom”: Apply AI to optimize systems and resources, envisioning a harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and society. Participants may explore sustainable, intelligent solutions through AI-driven material, energy, and contextual analysis.

05赛事宗旨/Purpose

以“阳明心学”为启发,聚焦文化传承与人工智能的结合,鼓励参赛者以设计创意诠释“心学”智慧的当代价值。本次大赛将面对四个类别进行作品征集,分别为:视觉传达、产品设计、空间设计、数字媒体。要求作品创意鲜明并紧扣赛事主题、技法精湛传承中国文化审美、表达完整且符合相应设计类别行业规范和技术标准。所有参赛作品均鼓励使用人工智能辅助创作,但必须在设计说明中详细描述使用AI的创作过程,描述需包含的信息见“作品规格”。

Inspired by Yangming Philosophy, this competition focuses on the integration of cultural heritage and artificial intelligence, encouraging participants to interpret the contemporary value of Yangming’s wisdom through innovative design. Entries are invited across four categories: Visual Communication, Product Design, Spatial Design, and Digital Media. Submissions should demonstrate originality and a strong connection to the competition theme, showcase refined craftsmanship that reflects Chinese cultural aesthetics, and meet the professional and technical standards of the respective design fields. AI-assisted creation is strongly encouraged across all categories. However, participants must include a detailed description of the AI-assisted design process in their design statement. The description should include the AI tools used, prompts or commands applied, and other relevant procedural details as specified in the“Submission Requirements.”

本赛道面向海内外设计院校及从业者征集作品,中国境内参赛者通过大赛官网通道(https://milan-aap.org.cn)完成作品投递,海外参赛者请发送作品至邮箱:yangming@milan-aap.org.cn(请在投稿邮件中提供详细的参赛信息,包括作者姓名、作品名称、指导老师和参赛单位。)

本科生研究生:在校及五年内毕业的博士、硕士研究生,本科以及进修生等。

高职高专学生:在校及五年内毕业的专科生等。

高校教师:高校在职教师及聘任的行业导师、兼职教师等。

专业设计师:专业设计师及设计爱好者。

This competition is open to design institutes and professionals worldwide. Participants in China can submit their works through the official website at https://milan-aap.org.cn, while international participants can email their submissions to yangming@milan-aap.org.cn (Please attach detailed credits information in the email, including the names of designers, project, advisors, and institute/company. )

Undergraduate Students: undergraduate students and those who have graduated within the past five years

Graduate Students: Master and PhD students and those who have graduated within the past five years

Vocational and Technical College Students: Current students in vocational or technical programs and those who have graduated within the past five years

Educators: Full-time university teachers, as well as appointed industry mentors and part-time instructors

Professional Designers: Design professionals and design enthusiasts

09奖项设置/Awards

按照征集总量设置奖项比例如下:

一等奖:组委会颁发证书(0.5%)

二等奖:组委会颁发证书(1%)

三等奖:组委会颁发证书(2%)

注:中国高校及海外渠道投稿作品分别按以上比例评奖。

The proportion of awards will be distributed based on the total number of submissions:

10作品要求/Requirements

作品类别

视觉传达类

创作者可基于“阳明心学”为启发,以传播阳明文化为目标,展开二维平面设计的创作。作品形式包括:平面设计、界面设计、插画设计、时尚设计等。

产品设计类

创作者可自由选择三维产品类别,结合产品功能和交互语义,体现“阳明心学”的思想内涵。作品形式包括各类产品设计以及工艺品设计。

空间设计类

创作者可自由选择空间类别,结合空间功能和属性,营造具有“阳明文化”韵味的空间设计。作品形式包括:环境设计、建筑设计、展示设计、景观设计、装置设计等。

数字媒体类

创作者可自由设计脚本,其创作旨在推动“阳明文化”的国际化传播。作品形式包括:虚拟IP、动画、短视频、微电影、表情包类。

作品规格要求

1. 作品文件:

图片作品:单幅作品须A3幅面、300dpi、JPG、RGB或CMYK;若系列作品,可提交不超过6件;若另附动态呈现作品须GIF格式、不小于72dpi,节奏流畅不卡顿。

视频作品:高清及以上分辨率,编码格式:H.264、mp4格式,时间长度控制在5分钟以内,不超过100M。

2. 展示海报:

1张,将作品编排至统一模板中;根据不同的参赛类别,海报内容应遵照相应行业规范编排设计内容。

备注:

图片类作品,创作团队人数不超过3人,指导老师不超过2人;视频类作品,创作团队人数不超过5人,指导老师不超过2人。

以上所有类别作品均鼓励使用AI协助完成创作,但使用AI辅助的过程必需在设计说明中以单独段落详细说明,包含三个关键信息:(1)在哪些设计阶段使用了AI;(2)使用了哪些AI工具;(3)在使用AI的过程中用到了哪些提示词。未按要求说明者将失去评奖资格。

Category

Visual Communication

Participants can create graphic designs to represent Wang Yangming’s philosophy and relevant cultures. The forms of the works may include posters, packaging, illustrations, etc.

Product Design

Participants can choose any product, combining aesthetic, functionality, and user experiences with semantics that reflect Wang Yangming’s philosophy. The forms of the works may include cultural and creative gifts/souvenirs, art installations, handmade crafts, consumer electronics, industrial equipment, etc.

Spatial Design:

Participants can choose any spatial category, integrating space functionality and attributes to create designs that capture the essence of Wang Yangming’s philosophy. The works may take the forms of interior design, exhibition design, architectural design, environmental design, etc.

Digital Media

Participants can freely design scripts to promote Yangmingism. The works may include animation, short videos, microfilms, emojis, etc.

Requirements

1. Works files:

Picture File Requirements. Single work submissions must be in A3 size, 300 dpi, JPG format, and RGB or CMYK colour mode. Up to 6 pages can be submitted for a series. If additional dynamic demonstrations are included, they must be in GIF format, with a resolution of at least 72 dpi, and should run smoothly without lag.

Video File Requirements. The resolution must be HD or higher. The encoding format should be H.264, in mp4 format. The video length should be limited to within 5 minutes, and the file size should not exceed 100 MB.

2. Poster:

Display Requirements. Poster templates must be downloaded from the competition’s official website. All works must be arranged on a unified template. The poster content must follow the respective industry norms and design standards depending on the competition category.

Notes:

Picture File Requirements: Each design team can have up to 3 members, with a maximum of 2 instructors. Video File Requirements: Each design team can have up to 5 members, with a maximum of 2 instructors.

AI-Assisted Creation. All categories encourage the use of AI-assisted creation, but participants must include a dedicated paragraph in their design statement detailing the AI-assisted process. The description should clearly specify: (1)Design stages where AI was applied; (2)AI tools or platforms used; (3)Prompts or commands employed during the creative process. Failure to provide this information as required will result in disqualification from award eligibility.

11评分标准/Judging Creteria

创意性(35%)

作品应紧扣大赛主题,本着原创的精神进行创作。创意性重点考量作品在“阳明心学”和设计作品之间的联系是否新颖、合理、利于传播。

审美性(35%)

作品需充分呈现创作者的美学表达能力。作品整体美学语言需和谐统一,且注重作品的细节的品质感,包括排版、字体、色彩、视觉编排等。作品不仅需要呈现视觉美感,其传递出的内在人文艺术之美更加可贵。

规范性(30%)

作品表达需符合相关行业和专业规范,如在使用场景、服务对象、材质、制造、工艺、工程考量等方面的专业阐述。

Creativity (35%)

The work should closely align with the competition’s theme and be created with an original spirit. Creativity will focus on evaluating whether the connection between Wang Yangming’s philosophy and the design is innovative, logical, and effective.

Aesthetics (35%)

The work must fully demonstrate the creator’s aesthetic expression. The overall aesthetic language should be harmonious and unified, with attention to the quality of details such as layout, typography, colour, and visual arrangement. The work should display visual beauty; expressing profound cultural beauty is even more valuable.

Compliance (30%)

The work must meet relevant industry and professional standards, including professional articulation in usage scenarios, target audience, materials, manufacturing, craftsmanship, and engineering considerations.

所有投稿作品的署名权归投稿者所有。

主办单位对所有来稿并获得等级奖的作品及论文拥有但不限于进行复制用以宣传、信息网络传播、出版、发行、展览、改编等权利。

凡投稿者视为认同并遵守本公告的各项条款,主办单位保留对本公告各项条款的修订及最终解释权。

所有参赛作品必须遵守中国相关的法律、法规以及道德规范,内容应积极健康向上,符合民族文化传统。作品内容涉及有国家当代疆域版图,地图以中国国家相关出版社或相关国家地图网站(如:中华人民共和国自然资源部网站)相关地图为准,并在文档中说明本作品地图来源。

参赛作品应为参赛者近两年内原创作品,且截止投稿前未获得过其他赛事省级以上等级奖。

The organisers reserve the right to reproduce, distribute, publish, exhibit, adapt, and use the submissions that win prizes for promotional purposes and information network dissemination.

By submitting works, participants are deemed to have acknowledged and agreed to abide by the terms of this announcement. The organisers reserve the right to amend and interpret the terms of this announcement.

All entries must comply with China’s relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. The content should be positive, healthy, and aligned with the nation’s cultural traditions. For works involving contemporary national territorial maps, the maps must be sourced from official Chinese publishers or relevant national map websites (e.g., Ministry of Natural Resources of the People’s Republic of China), and the source must be cited in the documentation.

The submitted works must be original creations by the participants within the past two years and must have yet to win Chinese provincial-level or higher awards before submission.
